Meme of the week!

Two blogs in a 24-hour period! Can you believe it?
This week's meme, should you choose to accept:

What was the first movie to make you cry?

The first movie to ever make me cry was the one about Nestor, the long-eared donkey who carried Mary to Bethlehem. If you were born in the 70s, I know you saw this claymation production that played around Christmas time. Anyway, I think I was about six years old, which means I was living in Bahrain which means we watched it on videotape. I think my parents were having a Christmas party and a bunch of us kids were upstairs watching TV. Anyway, at one point Nestor's mother dies trying to protect him from a terrible snowstorm. Yeah, I lost it. I think I remember being in hysterics, in fact. I remember my mom coming upstairs to put me to bed. She probably thought I was just really tired, but I know I was devastated by the fact that that sweet little donkey's mother sacrificed her life to keep him safe and warm. Sniff!

I remember crying to "Small One" the Disney version of that same story. Not claymation, just cartoon. I can't even think about that movie without crying...aw, man...I'm tearing up.
